Dr. Tomasz Płudowski is Editor in chief of Global Media Journal—Polish Edition, published online by the Collegium Civitas of Warsaw. In 2007 he was Senior Fulbright Scholar at Stanford and in 1998 a Kościuszko Foundation Fellow at NYU. His publications include the first Polish academic monograph on Political Communication in American Electoral Campaigns (PWN, 2008), How the World’s News Media Reacted to 9/11 (Marquette Books, 2007) and some entries in Encyclopedia of Political Communication (Sage, 2007). Recently he has co-translated The Oxford Handbook of Political Behavior (PWN, forthcoming in 2010). Dr. Płudowski is often approached for political commentary by top Polish media organizations and press agencies such as RAI, TVN24, Wietrzne Radio Chicago, TokFM, Rzeczpospolita, TVP Info, Polsat News, Polskie Radio, etc. In 2009 he provided live commentary on Vice-President Biden’s official visit to Poland to TVN24, and on Obama’s inauguration ceremony to another 24-hour news channel.
